On Sunday, I celebrated my birthday with Meisi, Joey, Raine, Lydia, Joo & Joel. We had dinner at BakerInz in Paragon and ice cream at Swenson's after that. Thanks to all of them and especially Meisi for organising this gathering! And I love the shirt that you all got me! Thanks!
Monday night was supposed to be my gathering wtith Dinah and gang, when Katherine called me at around 9pm and told me to prepare my passport since we were going to Malaysia. Feeling somewhat bewildered, I had to call my mother to ask for my passport as she was keeping it. She forbade me from going to Malaysia, and Kat and the rest had to call her to persuade her. In the end my mother gave in and told me to be careful. Dinah and gang picked me up at around 10.30 and they proceeded to blindfold me. After around a half hour journey, I was made to get out of the car and walk a distance (still blindfolded) to some place. When they took off my blindfold, I was surprised to see that we were at one of Downtown East's chalet! What was even more surprising was taht my parents were there to pop off some confetti showers! My parents were actually in on this together with them. That was really memorable. We had a great night eating steamboat and chilling out, though my parents left after the steamboat.
On tuesday, we went around Downtown East, had lunch at Simpang Bedok, watched the 40-year-old Virgin movie at Dinah's house, dinner at Maxwell market in Tanjong Pagar, followed by KTV at Partyworld nearby. At this point I would like to recommend not going to the KTV, the sound system there absolutely sucks, it was only the company that more than made up for the lousy sound experience.
After KTV, we all went home, tired but happy.
P.S. That last line was added in as I need to go and shower at the time of writing. Faced with a challenge of ending my blog within a line, I just couldn't resist but use the line popular in my primary school when I was studying there. I wonder if that line is still as popular..
