I kinda like the way my International Finance lecturer speaks. He is this funny old man with a slightly fierce demeanor who has a dry sense of humour. Sadly though, his lectures are also some that I am having a lot of difficulty understanding.. Shall try harder..

Went to Joel's place to play mahjong after class today! First time that I got to play mahjong with him in Perth! Eddy and Cindy joined in as well and we had a good game, though Eddy had to go late for his work.. I hope he didn't get into any trouble..

Tony, Tzu Yao, Joel, me and Joel's friends Chun Chew and Shaun went to the KFC near Carousel for dinner today. We ordered 2 banquet meals to share among us. At $24.95, the banquet meal is pretty good value for money, as it contains 6 pieces of chicken, 8 boneless chicken fillets, 2 large chips, one large whipped potato and a 1.5 litre soft drink. The 6 of us couldn't even finish the food on the table and we had to bring the leftovers home. (There were plenty left)

*Disclaimer* This blog and the author is not related to KFC in any way, and is not receiving remuneration for advertising services. But the banquet meal at your own risk but don't complain to the author should it prove to be unsatisfactory.

The funny part was when I went back to ask for some chilli sauce. I started out by asking this gal behind the counter how much they charge for chilli sauce. She asked me how many packets I wanted. I said 10 packets. (Random figure) She went to consult her manager, and came back with the reply that she will supply me with 10 packets but charge me only for 5 packets. I countered by saying that I will take the 5 free packets. She replied, "Huh?"

That was the first time I heard an Aussie say "huh?" in place of their normal "hey?". It was darn funny. The funnier bit was when she actually handed over the 5 free packets. She must have been taken by surprise, though my irresistable charm probably had a part to play in it as well. I can feel many of you nodding in agreement behind your computer screens. Watch it, be careful not to spit on your screens or vomit on your keyboards.

Gonna meet the same guys for lunch tomorrow so I better get cracking at my stuff. Cheerio.
