Just reached home... Had a really packed weekend, though I must say not all of the items are work, I had my fair share of fun as well.

Saturday:

Woke up in the morning to start my research on the Asia in the World Economy assignment. I have to meet Nikki later on to discuss the project at her house. After doing some research and readings, I went to have lunch cooked by my mum and aunt. My aunt's fish curry was fantastic!!! It was really good! Just the right amount of spice and the aroma will put any fish-curry lover's mouth drooling till it floods in Perth! Whoo hoo~

My aunt invited this girl over to my place for lunch. Apparently she and my mum is trying to set me up for a blind date, but I was going out for project meeting... Oh, so sad.. Haha.. Think they are really funny... Come out with this sorta stuff.. Sorry, but not interested.. My heart is somewhere else now.

Went down to Mill Point, cause Nikki's house is there. I think her house is pretty nice looking and the rent is not that expensive as well. Too bad didn't have any camera to take pics of it. Haha.. But not very nice to take pictures of other people's house and blog it also lar, unless they don't mind. So we spent like close to 4 hours doing up the assignment, before calling it a day. She had to go for a house-warming at Queen's Park while I needed to meet a friend for dinner. Oh and she laughed at me cause I though Queen's Park was a real park. How I know it's just a name of a suburb?

Went down to Murdoch uni to look for Joel and pass him the stuff his mother sent him via the Lee family post, and the letter someone else asked me to pass him via the ILE (Ian Li Express). You owe me, Joel... Still dare to complain somemore that the pineapple tarts my mother made to give you not enough. Knock your head ah...

Went to meet my friend and we went off to Fremantle for dinner. She passed me a letter that she wrote me as well as a packet of Pods she got for me. Snickers flavour! My fave!! Whee~~ I love Pods!! Thank you yeah? So nice of you. =)

We went to Kaili's this time instead of Cicerello's cause she wanted to try Kaili's, as she's never eaten there before. Too bad she forgot to bring her camera. So sad.. We went to look for 2 other friends who happened to be at Fremantle as well, as they were eating at Bella Roma's. While we were there, a man came up to us and asked us for some food. We let him take the calamari, since my friends were done eating. I felt that he was kind of pitiful, and really felt for him... I feel that people who beg for money may not be always in genuine need, but if they are begging for food, they truly deserve help. Makes me wonder if I can do more for these people.

After that we went to my friend's place to slack for a while, before going back to SV. Subsequently, Joey, Lydia, Meisi, Raine and I went down to Baskin Robbin's for ice-cream! the ice-cream there is so nice, especially the "White Chocodamia Mania"! Must try! Absolutely love it. The gals ordered shakes, and each of them got a different flavour. Raine got Triple Choc, Meisi got Praline Pleasure while Lydia and Joey shared the Triple choc as well, thought theirs looked whitish to me. I thought that the Praline Pleasure was quite nice, as it was hazelnut flavour based and you don't get so sick of it after drinking more than half of it. Triple choc is good as well, since I am a chocolate lover but you get kinda overwhelmed by the chocolatey taste after a while. All in all, they are all good!

Us at Baskin's!

Went back to SV to meet Joel and the game marathon (Chan, 2006) started. If you are wondering what that Chan thing is about, I think I got too used to referencing stuff after 2 days of hardcore essay writing and had to reference the name to Meisi since I got the name from her blog. =P No reference list at the end of this blog though.

Anyway, the 6 of us played games till 4am plus in the morning! We played Murderer, followed by 007, Bullshit, Bluff, Heart Attack, Spoon and finally Indian Poker. I really had fun, esp when some of the games were new to me. I liked Bluff, Spoon and Indian Poker, though Indian Poker involved some intensive water gulping and I visited the loo like 5 or 6 times after that at night. I even had to wake up in the middle of the night to visit the toilet bowl. My new best friend for today. =P Oh, and I need to mention this. Joel bought us pizza from Little Caesar's, one of the most famous pizza joints in Perth, and arguably the best. The pizza was good, but not really very fantastic. However that could be because it was cold and not really fresh. Still it was nice of Joel to buy it for us! I want to try other flavours also. Maybe they're nicer! Thanks Joel anyway!

Anyway for the game Indian Poker, the loser for each round had to drink a lot of water. Eventually we ran out of water and wagered apple juice instead. As Raine was unlucky enough to keep losing the last few rounds, she drank so much apple juice that she changed from a green M & M to an apple flavoured skittle instead!! Haha... For those who don't know, Raine is this cutie monster who looks like an M & M character. She is just so cute that you can't resist pinching her cheeks. Dear little Raine.. I will see if I can snap a picture of her giving her trademark "whatever" smile and post it up here.

Sunday:

Woke up at 9 plus to start doing some further reading for my essay, as I needed to go down to Nikki's house again after church. Had the leftover pizza for brekkie. Car pooled with Jeremy down to church. Man, I was so tired that I had difficulty keeping my eyes open during the sermon. Think I fell asleep a couple of times, even though the speaker Rev Haydn was pretty interesting.

Went back to Murdoch with Jeremy to get to my car so that I can drive down to meet Nikki for the essay due tomorrow. Just as I was about to get onto the freeway, Nikki messaged me and told me that she could not make it. I drove down to Bullcreek to contact her and confirm her plans. Since I couldn't get her, I went back to Murdoch to meet Joey and Meisi to attend their Food Feast today instead. Murdoch organised this Food Feast featuring food all over the world. I didn't get to see much of it but according to what I heard, it seemed to feature predominantly Indian cuisine. Nikki called me at this time to tell me that she could make it after all so I had to leave almost as soon as I arrived.

Finally completed the essay at 4pm.. Rachel called me to tell me that she just arrived in Perth, so I drove down to Sheraton Hotel to pick her up. While we were deciding where to go for dinner, Joel (Murdoch) called, so we decided to meet him as well. Joel was at Harbourtown with his friend Clarence, so we needed to go down to pick him up. Since I was pretty unfamiliar with the city district, I asked Rachel to help me find the way on the map. It turned out to be diasatrous. Firstly, she wasn't paying much attention to me, so instead of Harbourtown, she was looking for Barbertown, or Harbour Street, etc... So as you can guess, I had to stop the car a lot of times to point her in the right direction.

Secondly, she got lotsa stuff to talk to me about, so instead of keeping her eyes on the map, she just kept saying, "Go straight." Finally I told her, "We just passed Brisbane Street. So where are we on the map now?" After 2 minutes she answered," We are not on the map anymore. Probably somewhere here. (points at vacant space 5 cm above map)" Gosh... She's a terrible map-reader.. The result was we ended up in Holland (singapore slang), and had to call Joel to meet him straight in Northbridge instead.

We went to this Vietnamnese restaurant called Viet Garden (direct translation from Chinese). The food was pretty nice. I had the hot and sour beef soup with rice noodles. Hoho. After dinner, Joel, Rachel and me went to Dome for a coffee and cake. It was Rachel's treat! Thanks yeah? Though she probably won't get to see this.

I sent Joel back to Murdoch and popped in to say hi to Meisi and Joey. Was really tired so I didn't hang around for very long. So tired man... Gonna go zone out and attend lessons tomorrow morning!
