It actually rained for the most part of the day. From the early morning torrents, to the showers that persisted till about early afternoon, it just kept raining and raining. Laundry postponed till Thursday.

Did some light studying, gaming and generally bumming for most of the day. I love it. I love bumming. I love slacking. Oh yes, and I love chatting with Melvin who called me as well. Really miss that dude. He's picked up a rare hobby for guys now. He's into baking!!! And he sounds as if he's getting pretty good at it too! And I know he is so gonna kill me for blogging that here. =P

Went jogging at 8pm when the sky finally cleared. I've got one thing to share about my jogging today, but before I tell my story, it would be useful and definitely relevant to know the headlines for today. One of the headlines for today is "Boy, 16, beaten up at suburban train station, succumbs to injuries at hospital". This poor guy was beaten up for no reason and has died after 3 months in intensive care. The 17 year old who is accused of the crime will be charged in court tomorrow, and have his charge upgraded to "manslaughter" instead of "causing grievous bodily harm".

The reason why that is relevant is because as I was jogging today, when I was on the sidewalk in one of the minor roads of my neighbourhood, I saw a group of 6 teenagers walking ahead of me. When they heard me approaching from behind, they instantly separated into 2 groups to let me pass in between, and stopped there. Now for those who jog regularly, you should know that this is unusual behaviour. What most people would do is to all keep to a side, or even if you separate into 2 groups you would continue walking. Naturally, I almost pissed my pants (jogging shorts). I could handle 2 of them, but 6 is impossible. This is not some Hollywood movie where they would fight you one on one while the remaining 5 dance around you and make some fearsome moves. Neither am I Brad Pitt, or Jackie Chan. So I just carried on ahead, said "Hi" and acted nonchalant. (While hoping that if they attacked me I would have enough stamina to outrun them, though it was not bloody likely cause I was on the last quarter of my jog)

The result? They collectively said "hi" back and that in itself was quite threatening for its uniformity. I really wondered if they practised saying hi together. Impressive. But thankfully, I didn't end up being tomorrow's headlines. "Man, 24, beaten up while on daily jog. Destined to remain fat."
