Went down to Murdoch today after classes to do assignments and also to meet up with some friends. Firstly, went down to Murdoch's carpark 3 for visitors. As I did not have any loose change on me, I went to ask some people if they had any change for a ten-dollar bill. The first person I came to did not have any change for a ten, but she gave me one dollar in coins. The second person I asked also did not have any change, and gave me a 2-dollar coin. That's 3 dollars for 2 minutes work. The implications are that Aussies seem to be quite 1) kind-hearted and/or 2) free with cash. If this was Singapore:-

Me: Sorry, would you happen to have change for ten-dollars?

Passerby: Sorry. Don't have.

That's it.

The other implications are that if you used ten-dollars as your initial capital, and spent 8 hours a day at a carpark asking for change, at the rate of 3 dollars per 2 minutes, you are getting a $13,000 per month job, with flexible working hours, weekends off, and no boss. Excellent. Why am I still in uni? I should be in the uni carpark.

Went to the Sir Walter's cafe underneath the Murdoch Library. I lost my way actually, but happened to see Joey, who guided me there. Met Joel on the way and we headed to the cafe. Kinda like a RPG game where you keep finding people to join your team. Haha... So we headed to the cafe, while Joey went back to her room to get stuff first. After a while she came back with Meisi, who hung around for a while before going for her lecture. Subsequently, Raine and Joo came, while Joel left. After a while, Meisi came back for a short break before leaving for her lecture again. After that Lydia came, followed by Meisi shortly after. Joel came to join us about 10 minutes later.

The moral of the above paragraph was that there was a lot of human movement around me today. Actually I have no idea why I typed that but if I delete now like a bit wasted like that. So just read and move on. Next...

Raine the Cutie Monster and me. I'm acting cute. Raine is cute.

We left around 4.30, and after reaching SV and dropping Joey off, I realised that I left my sunglasses in the cafe! Shit! Hurriedly drove back with Raine and Joel. The cafe closes at 5pm, but there were still staff inside. Luckily, my sunglasses were still inside. However, there is one nosepad missing so I can't wear my sunglasses for the time being.. So sad... Need to go and get it changed.. But at least it's better than me losing the whole thing.

Went home for dinner. My mum cooked hainanese chicken rice, with roasted pork, a vegetable dish and chilli mussels. Dessert was green bean with barley soup and cut fruits. A real satisfying dinner! Whoo hoo..

Sent Joel back, and my aunt, uncle and mum tagged along to see his hostel. My aunt and uncle is checking it out for their granddaughter who might be coming over to study in the future. they kinda liked the place. Cool...

Heard that Jasper, JC and Huimin backed out of coming over to Perth. Jingyi and Yan are still coming over though. However, Jingyi tried to reach me just now, seemingly with bad news. My left eyebrow is twitching. Someone seems to have cast on me a Sense of Impending Doom. Haha..

Tzu Yao brought out an interesting point yesterday that I should mention here. As most of you who are above 21 years of age would know, we as Singaporean citizens are required to vote. However those who are unable to do so due to studying here overseas would need to get a letter from the school to present to the Election Office in Singapore. Tzu Yao's take on it is that: "It's time for the Singapore Students Society to do something about it. Ask Eddy to start working. If not we all pay AUD$8 for what?" Of course he said it in more colourful terms. Eddy if you are reading this, it was just coffeeshop talk. You know us. We like to talk crap. But it would really be nice. Heh...
