As the Honda is now out of commission (see previous post), I couldn't make it to FCC today for service, and therefore followed my BIL to his church at Manning Road, called The Rocks. Sounds manly eh? At least Tiffany (FCC) thinks so.
Service was ok, and we had a church provided lunch after that. Simple fare of rice with Japanese curry, but it was delicious. Spoke to the pastor there for a while. He's this big, bald, bad-ass looking guy who is called Pastor Dee, and it turned out that he taught FCC pastors, Pastor Cheng Lai and Pastor Benny Ho at Bible College before. How cool is that? Respect, respect man... But he doesn't look that old though...
He said that I don't look totally asian, and asked if I had any western blood. Haha. I told him I'm 100% chinese stock, and he was quite surprised at that. He asked another lady from the church to guess my ethnicity, and she guessed that I was either portuguese-chinese or chilean, for some reason... Haha... She said that my features don't look 100% asian, and told me to take it as a compliment. What a pity the Singaporeans wouldn't agree.
Went jogging at night, and halfway through, I came across this pair of Aussie guys who told me to watch out for 4 Aboriginals who are walking around looking for people to bash. Thankfully, I didn't encounter them, though I did contemplate changing my jogging route.
The jog tonight, was a jog of many thoughts. I pondered about lots of stuff, and all the crossroads in life I'm going through now. The path ahead is not clear at all, and it seems that many important forks in the road are ahead of me. Some are purely my choice, while others are somewhat out of my hands. As I jogged, I prayed about all of them, and asked for guidance, and that the best for me would happen. While I may not like all that is going to happen, at least I feel comforted knowing that I've tried my best and I shouldn't have any regrets.
That last line may sound like William Hung, but hey, it's true yeah?
