First day of work today! I got a job as a research assistant for one of my tutors in the uni. He's doing his Ph.D thesis, and needs someone to help him with research, data-sorting and proof-reading. According to him, I looked like the more "zai" type, so he got me. Haha... Floating around already.

So it started off at 11am with a one hour introduction of the thesis and the data that he has collected so far. It was like attending a tutorial man, except this time there is only one student and all of my inadequate knowledge was painfully apparent. It was rather interesting, but now I think I'll have more reading on my own to do to understand the models that he is using.

At 12pm, I left, because I don't have a laptop, and so will be mostly working from home. Got caught in the rain on the way home. I hate rain here. Finished his assignment in 40 minutes, he was probably going easy on me for the first one. He was still surprised that I finished it so fast though. Fast and efficient eh? Haha.

Called a friend after that and we had a long chat for like 3 and a half hours. It didn't feel so long though. Guess I was really absorbed in the conversation. It was good to really catch up after... hmm... one week, but conversely, this one week felt really long. Heh.. Guess you are missed. =)

My dad called me after that, and I talked to him for a while. Dad is gonna get a new car tomorrow! Happy for him, because I know that he spent a lot of money to let me study here, and I'm glad that he can still use his own money to enjoy himself! Dad and mom is the best!

Gotta call Mel now, so I'll end it here. Cheerios.
