After that, we went back to Nikki's house while she changed, before heading over to Curtin Uni with her housemates Darryl and Jeslyn for lunch. My first time to Curtin, and it was really big! Bigger than UWA (the smallest uni in Perth), and it also seemed bigger than Murdoch. It also had a more modern feel to it than the other 2 unis. We went to the noodlehouse in the guild which served rather sucky food for an exorbitant price. ($8.50 for yucky food) Nikki like the fried bee hoon there though, and the other 3 of us had no choice but to eat with her. =(
We went to the Curtin guild cafe to chill out for a while after that while waiting for their friend Ling. I showed a couple of magic tricks and Darryl was quite impressed, as he had not seen me do any tricks before. Oh, and the Curtin flat white was rather impressive! They made the foam look really nice!
See, got pattern, pattern one.Headed to Carousel by myself while they went for KTV, as I needed to go to these craft shop called Lincraft to get some stuff. Lincraft is like the Aussie version of Spotlight, but the moment I entered, I felt a surge of estrogen threatening to engulf all the testosterone in my body. The place is just so female! And I noticed that I was really the only male in there. Fortunately, no one gave me weird looks. I had to slowly find what I was searching for, before getting away. Phew~
Oh, and a weird incident on the bus today. There was this guy who flagged the bus, and he was hastily scoffing down a small bucket of yoghurt before getting on the bus. When he boarded and sat near me, I noticed that he had 2 more buckets of yoghurt and a packet of Mocha chill (mocha flavoured milk drink). He must be on a daily (dairy) high man... Halfway through the journey, he started tearing off the top of one of the yoghurts. What I noticed was that he tore it off very, very slowly, almost as if he had some sort of obsessive compulsive disorder. The whole operation was rather delicate. You would think that he was conducting some sort of cornea transplant.
That is not the weird thing. Well, I failed to mention that he was sitting on those 3-in-a-row seats which had another row of seats facing each other. (like the Singapore buses, it's new here I think) A lady sitting opposite him suddenly asked him, "Would you like a spoon?", to which he replied he would. She then produced a bright yellow plastic spoon from her bag and handed it to him. I was thinking like, "What the hell? Are you Doraemon? Who carries spoons in their handbags?" At this stage I was also looking around for the hidden camera, but found none.
After a while, he finished his yoghurt, and asked her if she wanted it back. She replied in the negative, so he stashed it away in a pouch he was carrying. It should come in handy. I was surprised he didn't ask for a straw with his mocha chill though. This is really weird... And Joel (UWA) thinks that I am Doraemon for carrying chilli sauce on me at times. He should have been there.
