Woke up early today, as Dinah gave me a call. Talked to her for some time, and at the end of the conversation my mind was fully awake.

Spent the rest of the day doing all the minor stuff (sorting out things etc), before going down to SV to meet Joel and gang for Joel's belated birthday celebration cum surprise. But birthday surprises are never really surprises, I guess. So many people gave out tiny accidental hints about the affair. The climax was when Amelia slipped out the thing directly to Joel. I could only cover my eyes...

We went to Sizzler at Riverton for dinner, and despite queueing up for about half an hour, none of us fainted in the queue, thankfully. Dinner was good, and enjoyed myself talking to the people nearer to me at the table. It was also Arthur's birthday (just yesterday) and we sang a birthday song for him and Joel, complete with dessert and sparklers. Nice!

Handed Joel his "present", which was a birthday card decorated with plastic spoons and spatulas. It was actually a gag to surprise him (and make him think that was the actual present). He really seemed to be disappointed with it, and thought that was all he was getting for his 22nd. We got him his real present later on, and that brought a smile all over his face. Oh, so sweet. =) Again, hope you like the present and will put it to good use, buddy. Arthur and Joel both got a card from some of us as well.

Some unhappy stuff for today as well, but I'll just let it slide. Feeling quite tired, so I didn't join them at SV after the dinner. Not really in the mood anyway.
