Went to school in the morning, as I transferred a Thursday tute to a Friday one. Now I have school everyday, with no free days. Sigh...
After school I went down to the city to meet Meisi and Joey. Hitched a ride down to the city with Tzu Yao and Xiao Hui. Driving in the city during lunchtime is a killer man... We were stuck in a mini jab for some time, and finding parking was another headache. Even the CPPs (multi-storey pay parking) were full!
Went with Meisi, Raine, Joey, and Joo to this Japanese restaurant for lunch. The food there was good, the servings were generous, and the service was decent, though the price was a little on the high side. However, all in all, it is considered fair value for money. 4 thumbs up, out of 5. (that sounds a little weird, cause I have only 2 thumbs, but well, you get the idea.)
Meisi and I parted company with the other gals after that, and we went shopping around the city after that, mostly buying stuff for Dinah from Jay Jay's, before heading down to the Perth Convention Centre to visit Nikki, who is working there. Tzu Yao and Xiao Hui came to join us a little while after. Nikki brought out lots of free stuff for us to eat and drink. Meisi had tea, I had mocha, Tzu Yao and Xiao Hui had a flat white each, and we had 3 cakes. After a while, Nikki brought us a bottle of Nudie each to wash it all down. Nudie is this fruit drink which claims to have all the fruit vitamins and dietary fibre a person needs each day. I have no idea how true the claim holds, but they were really nice. We had lots of fun just watching Tzu Yao and Xiao Hui crap around, and basically shooting the breeze. Meisi and I laughed till we were exhausted from laughing. Really enjoyed the afternoon with such good food, good drinks, good friends, and nice chilling place.
Meisi came over to my place after that, and we watched 2 movies, "Infernal Affairs II" followed by "Windstruck". They were both good, but my Windstruck disc was spoilt and we didn't really get to catch the ending, which is kinda disappointing... =( Sent Meisi home after that before heading to bed after such a long but fun day.
Saturday:
Went to the Rising Sun restaurant for the dim sum buffet with Tzu Yao, Xiao Hui and King Kong in the afternoon. Just recounting the events makes my heart boil. Firstly, when we went to the restaurant, Tzu Yao, King Kong and I who arrived first went to pay upfront. After I had paid, Xiao Hui called me and said that she had arrived, so I went outside to look for her. After a while King Kong and Tzu Yao came outside, and said that we had not been allocated a table yet, so they came outside. I went back inside and asked the manager, who gave me some attitude and said that if we were not allocated a table we should wait inside and not go outside. What the...
We sat around there for an hour plus, and did not eat much. Reason? A lot of the waitresses there had their own friends eating the buffet, and they served only their friends' tables. Our table, as well as 2 around us were not served at all. When we tried to call for some service, we were ignored, and it was obvious that they pretended not to see us. There was this old auntie waitress who just came out of the kitchen straight and always walked straight to her friends' table directly behind us. Finally, I stopped her en route and made her put down the food immediately. She was very unhappy to do so, and Tzu Yao just asked her straight to wipe the sour look off her face. The next time she came out of the kitchen, she ran directly with the food to her friends' table. It sounds funny, and I agree it is to a certain extent, but what the hell! It is pretty obvious that she was running so that she can't get stopped en route. I was really tempted to give her a flying tackle, since she so obviously think she is playing rugby.
In the end, we decided to complain to the manager, but the manager ignored us as well when we tried to call for service. This only escalated our anger to the maximum point. In the end we turned all the crockery upside down, overturned the teapot and left. First buffet I've ever been to that I left still hungry. Rising Sun is now officially off the list of Ian's Recommendations and is now on Ian's blacklist. 0 thumbs up, and 5 middle fingers.
At night, Tzu Yao, King Kong, Xioao Hui, Raja, Albert, James and Gee went to Good Fortune restaurant in Northbridge for dinner. The restaurant was full, but the manager managed to get us a table within 10 minutes. After 5 minutes of ordering, the food all arrived. Now that's what I call service. And the food was excellent. Here are some pictures of the sumptous feast we had.

Roasted Duck, Roasted Chicken, 3 meats combination, Salt and Pepper Fish, Sizzling Tofu and vegetables.
Empty plates, and satisfied customersSunday:
Went to FCC in the morning, and then it was off to Murdoch in the afternoon to meet Meisi for lunch. When I reached at 1 plus as agreed, sumbardi was still sleeping. Luckily she could manage to get ready and look presentable in record time. Working under pressure... =P
We had our lunch at Yummy BBQ Restaurant in Myaree. The food there was decent and quite nice, and we went to walk around at Bunning's after that. Went down to IGA to do some grocery shopping, and saw Amelia, Hui Qian and Dwi Jin there.
And now for our special program for the day.

Found out something that made my blood boil for the second time in 2 consecutive days. I was organising this KTV thing with some people for next Tuesday, and it was just affirmed last Friday. Now I find that these same people are planning to go on a trip down south on the same day, and not a single one of them bothered to inform me. And all of the people I asked, except Joel, are all going on the trip. Think I'm angry? Think again.

Their excuse is that the trip was not confirmed, so they didn't want to tell me yet. Well, the trip and the outing is next Tuesday, and it was already Sunday, so I didn't know how long they wanted to wait till before informing me that the outing was off. And besides, it makes me feel as if the outing I plan is second-rate, and that I'm only waiting on them. Seriously, if you are going to forsake my stuff the moment you get something better, I think I have better things to do as well. And 4 people forgot to inform me of their alternative plans at the same time? They offer better odds at Burswood Casino.
