Okay... As promised, here are the updates!

Tuesday:
Went to meet up with coffee buddy Joel after school for lunch and coffee. We went to the city to meet, before heading to Mr Samurai for lunch. The food there is good for the price. You can get a set meal for $6, which would consist of rice, tempura and a meat dish. Pretty good. We happened to bump into Geraldine and Tash there, and had lunch together before the gals headed off to do some shopping while Joel and I went to Northbridge to buy some stuff.

We went to Northbridge to buy some snacks from the Kakula Bros. It is this quaint little shop which sells lots of stuff, from coffee powder, flour, macadamia nuts, spices to snacks that is not easy to find in Perth. Joel and I bought some wasabi peas, Japanese rice crackers and pagoda dahl (Indian snack). Joel accidentally spilled some stuff twice and I could observe the people behind glaring at us... Whoops.. =P

Had coffee at Miss Maud's in the city later on, and caught up on some stuff. Great to catch up man, and hope your busted knee recovers soon.

Wednesday:
My tutor in UWA needs a place to stay for a week as the lease on his old house has expired, and the new lease has not begun yet. So after school, I had to help him move house to my house. Had a bit of help from Tzu Yao, who tagged along, after which we all had dinner at Spencer Village. The nasi lemak there is not too bad. Anyway, here is a rather funny (though not so funny to me at that time) exchange between me and my tutor after I had gone to bed at night.
*Knocking on door*
Tutor Michael: Ian, Ian, come out...

Ian: *dazed* Huh?

Michael: Come out, come and listen to this sound in my room.

Ian: Ok...

After a while in his room

Michael: Can you hear anything?

Ian: Yeah I can hear water.

Michael: Yeah, yeah... Other than that?

Ian: It's only water lor... Your room beside the toilet what...

Michael: Oh...

He's a funny guy. (no negative innuendo intended)

Thursday:
Had a full, full day at school today. After school, I had to go back home to change, before going down to Murdoch University to pick up my girlfriend. Hmm, for all dear friends in Singapore, I'm happily attached! We were celebrating our first month together today. =)

Anyway, Danny generously offered me his Honda Integra for this occasion, so I was roaring all the way to Murdoch University. It's really a good car. *drools* Picked my girlfriend up, and went on down to Mill Point, which is a pretty special place to both of us. We went to this restaurant called In Contro. The restaurant is pretty classy, and has a fantastic view of the Swan River. The food was nice, though the portions were not big, but the price was really quite exorbitant. The service was good, but they were also very understaffed, so it took a long time to get our orders filled or even to request for anything.

After dinner, we went to Dome to have a chat over a cup of coffee. After the place closed, we went for a short walk around Mill Point. Mill Point is a really beautiful place, and we weren't quite done exploring, but it was really cold so we retreated to the relative heat of the car. Sent Meisi back to her flat, and opened the present she got for me. We had originally agreed not to get any presents for each other on this occasion, but she said she simply couldn't resist. I was, and am, really touched.

The present

The gift was a real well thought out one, a book "False Impressions" by Jeffrey Archer! Meisi even went to the trouble of getting Raine to ask me (innocently) whether I could recommend any books by Jeffrey Archer. I unsuspectingly revealed to her the only book by him which I haven't read yet. The ploy was really good. There was also a box of chocolates thrown in. The brand was Cadbury's, but the name is something special to us. Really enjoyed this day, and thanks so much to my girlfriend for being half the reason why it was so enjoyable. =)
