Studied BTP for the whole day before doing some heavy-duty housework. Vacuumed and mopped the whole house, before washing the toilets thoroughly, and hanging out some pillows and stuff to sun (it's super hot today) and doing the dishes. By the time I finished, I had a sore back. Owww....
Went to pick Meisi up from Murdoch in the evening. Sent Raine (who happened to be there) home before going to Carousel for a movie. We watched Nacho Libre (Singaporeans, yes I know, the movie was off the big screen in Singapore long before it came up here). I rather enjoyed the movie, as it was classic Jack Black humour. Meisi didn't like it though as it was the gross type of humour, farts, mucus etc... But I think it was really funny. This movie gave me a Stephen Chow type of feeling. As Meisi would say, the "hur hur" type of humour as compared to the "ha ha" type.
After the movie, we went to Vic Park for some Nasi Briyani at Makan Makan (for the actual name, which is Makan with a squared symbol, please derive it from Makan Makan yourself) The nasi briyani was not that fantastic today... The meat was ok but the rice was pretty tasteless. And the worst thing was that the waitress got our orders mixed up, and we didn't notice till we had finished.
After dinner, we were still feeling unsatisfied =P, so we went down to Hawker's Cuisine at Northbridge for another, erm... meal. Initially we wanted to order only something just to sooth our appetites, but we ended up ordering Marmite Chicken, Fuzhou Tofu and white rice. They were really really good. I really liked the Fuzhou Tofu man... Yummy. And I would recommend Hawker's Cuisine to anyone else, their variety is pretty wide and the food is nice.
Walked around like an old man today due to the sore back. I kinda reminded myself of one of those gun-slinging cowboys in Western movies, only that I didn't have the steely eye gaze or quick gun draw... Ouch...
