Weekend updates!
Friday:
Early morning tute, after which I went to meet Meisi in the city. We went to this place called Hare Krishna for lunch. Hare Krishna is this Indian restaurant which serves a vegetarian Indian buffet for $5. The food is nothing fantastic but for $5 it is still not too bad.
After lunch, we went to the Kakula Bros to get some snacks, before heading to the city. As we still had some time to kill, we went for coffee at the Forum. The last time we were here was about a year ago. At that time, we haven't even begun dating. So the feeling I got was pretty nostalgic. =)
After coffee, we went to meet Raine and Joo to get Joey's birthday present. We met up at the Bodyshop, and bought some scents for Joey. The scents were pretty cool, as it was the set which you could mix and match yourself to get different scents. I remember thinking of getting it in Singapore, but didn't as I only liked the citrus-y smells.
We had to go and hunt for another item - a bag that Joey saw with Meisi and liked. After a whole afternoon of shopping (a significant amount of time was spent shopping for the gal's own stuff as well =P), we finally hunted down the shop where they saw the bag. From there we had to guess which bag it was, as Meisi had forgotten what the bag exactly looked like. The vote was pretty split, but in the end Meisi and Joo concurred with Raine and me. Hopefully we don't turn out being wrong.
We had dinner at Mr Samurai after that. After that, Raine and Joo headed home while Meisi came over to my place for a movie. We initially wanted to watch Infernal Affairs III, but the movie was in Cantonese without subtitles, and after about 10 minutes of non-comprendo, we gave up.
We switched to X-Men 3 instead. The movie was really good, but I think it will rock so much more on the big screen.
Saturday:
Was supposed to go down to the Pinnacles with Meisi, Joey, Baron and gang today, but in the end had to stay home to do research for Michael. When I woke up, he told me that he has decided to cancel the research, as it was not proving to be fruitful due to many factors. So I spent most of the day mucking around, completing chores that badly needed to be done.
Sunday:
Went to church in the morning, before coming back to do some work. Michael had moved out in the morning, so I will not have to wake up in the early mornings or late nights to let him in or out anymore... He's a nice guy, but it can be a real drag to get up while you are sleeping to open the door yeah?
Mike and Aya came over with little Gracie in the afternoon, and I chatted with them and played with Gracie for a while. After that, I went over to Murdoch to meet up with the gang before we all headed down to Pancho's Mexican restaurant to celebrate Joey's birthday. Happy birthday Qin Yu Cai!!!
The food was nice and very generous, the service was not too bad, and everyone had a good time. Hopefully I can get the photos within the next few days so that I can put it up here. Went off after the dinner feeling really full... *Burp* We had a cake as well, and the sparkler on the cake was star shaped! That was really cool. Nice...
Feeling full and tired now... Gonna go take a siesta.
