Cooked dinner for Xiao Hui and Tsu Yao. It was my first attempt at diced chicken with dried chilli, and I think it was very nice. They thought so too! Yayee! Went to pick Danny up from his mechanic after that, and sent him and Ben home. Decided to go for a walk after that by myself, and needed to use the toilet, so I popped over into Carousel. Saw two friends, but just said hi before walking on, as I wasn't in a mood to talk. Hope that they don't think that I am too "tao".
Wednesday:
Stayed over at Xiao Hui and Tsu Yao's place. I decided to try stir-fried beef with dried chilli this time, together with some other chinese vegetables (dunno the name). Vernon, Kiwi (yes, his name is pronounce like that) and Joel (UWA) came over for dinner as well. I cooked the stir-fried beef and bean sprouts with toufu, while Vernon cooked shitake mushrooms with mu-er. Nice nice dinner! A small unpleasant event with Xiao Hui's housemate, but shan't go into details here.
We watched some real-life police show while having dinner, and the dinner was real good! The beef was a little too spicy though, but everyone still loved it. After dinner, we decided to go to Vernon's place for mahjong. Haha, first time playing with Vernon and Kiwi, who claimed that they don't know how to play, but are actually experts. Luckily I didn't believe them in the first place.
Thursday:
Went to see Dr Genga regarding my tutorial matters. He was really nice and allowed me to skip one tutorial, though I need to submit written answers.
After school, I went home to sleep, as I haven't been sleeping much. Went to meet Raine for a chat at night. Thanks for the chat, it made me clarify things and see things clearer. After sending her home, I went to drop in on Joel, and talked to him for a while. Went home early, as I need to wake up early the next day.
Friday:
Woke up at 6.30am, and went to pick Xiao Hui and Tsu Yao up at 8am. Tsu Yao complained that I was too punctual, as I was there for barely 2 minutes before his alarm started going off. Hee hee...
We went down to court, as Xiao Hui was being charged with some traffic offences. It was those technicality sorta things which is really quite stupid, but unfortunately she was 'suay'. Sigh... Reached the court at 9am, and started waiting for a "duty lawyer". A "duty lawyer" is a lawyer who is at the court (there are usually 2 of them) and will help anyone speak in hearings for a nominal fee. In Xiao Hui's case, it was only $5. We waited an hour plus for one, before going to the court for the hearing. We waited there from 10am till around 1pm for our hearing, as most of the time we were waiting for the duty lawyer to show up. The worst thing was that the duty lawyer decided that she was too busy to help Xiao Hui and told her to speak to the judge herself in the end. @#$%^&!
In the end, we were the last case to be heard, and the judge at first leaned towards Xiao Hui and scolded the prosecution for failing to make proper enquiries. At this point, the prosecution spoke up and gave a reason which I felt was a rather weak argument. Too bad that Xiao Hui didn't have a lawyer on hand to speak for her, and of course she didn't quite understand what was going on. In the end the judge found her guilty and sentenced her to a fine. Really really felt like going to speak for her, but I can't. Sigh...
Went to Nando's for lunch after that, before heading to Danny's house to repair Xiao Hui's car's side mirror. It took a lot longer than I thought. Needed to leave, as I had a dinner appointment at 7pm. Rushed home to shower and change.
Had a nice dinner, a nice chat, and a good night in all.
