Tsu Yao called Joel (UWA), who was still sleeping after a night of KTVing, at around 4 plus.
TY: Hey, where are you?
J: At home lor. Just woke up. Why?
TY: You don't want to come ah?
J: BBQ at 4pm what, still early right?
TY: It's 4 plus lor, deh...
What a pig.. =P
Charlene came a little while later, followed by Serene, who wanted to go jogging before joining us for the BBQ, and asked me to keep her wallet and handphone for her. Really enthu about jogging... Haha...
After a while, Lynn and her boyfriend Adrian came with potato salad and their cute cocker spaniel Zachary! Zach was so cute and smart! He responds to the command "sit" and "stand", and will also stay in a spot and not move away if commanded to, even if you tempt him with food. He can also differentiate between his left and right paw, and will produce it for you if you ask him. So funny. Lynn began to say "right paw", "left paw" so fast that I'm sure Zach was going to fall over at any point. But he reminds me so much of my dear Peanut, who is no longer around. =(
Chee Kong, Eddy, Vernon and Joel (UWA) came soon after, and we got Vernon to go and bring Cindy to buy ice while the rest of us began to prepare the birthday cake. We surprised Cindy (though it was not much of a surprise left, thanks to Joel and Lynn with their greeting of Happy Birthday Cindy!). But she was still happy and touched nonetheless, so it's all good! =)
Cindy with her cakeWe managed to see dolphins in the bay, and it was so nice! One of them came very close to shore and we started running towards the waterline to see it swim. It was real, real fast... Cool! My first time seeing a dolphin in Matilda's Bay! Cindy wanted to get upclose with it, so... we threw her in the water... Haha. Yes, that was pretty evil, but she was asking for it. Haha. Had lotsa fun.
Serene returned from her jog, with her face all flushed up! I finally know someone else who has a reddish skin tone, though hers is more like pinkish. Chatted with Serene, and got to know her slightly better. Halfway through, she said something that made the conversation a little awkward for a while, but it quickly passed. I'll probably see more of her over the next few days, as we're taking 2 exams together, and will be studying in the library.
Started clearing up around 7plus. After that, we all stood in a circle (for no reason) and started talking crap. Anyway, here's the joke of the day.
It's summer now, and the flies are real annoying. They get around everywhere, whizzing by and irritating you by flying near your nose, mouth and eyes and ears. By the time we cleared up, they all disappeared already. So someone remarked that, "Hey, the flies are all gone huh...?" To which Tsu Yao replied: "It's Australia mate, even the flies here work 8 to 5 also. No overtime know?"
If you think about it, it's quite true and funny. Most of the other pics are with Raja, so I can't upload any more. Those above are from my phone.
Sent Danny home after that, and had fun just drinking coffee and chatting with Ben and Andrew, his friends. His house has such a nice view of the city and Swan River. At around 8 plus, we could see fireworks in the distance, probably at Claremont.
Memories best forgotten.
Went to SV to look for Lydia, and headed over to Joel and Hui Qian's flat. We had a long, long chat, and the topics covered were pretty interesting. The most interesting one was on the issue of pre-nuptial agreements. Is it good, or bad for marriage? Joel and Lydia were dead against the idea, while Hui Qian and I felt that it was still ok. Lydia professed that she will never marry an economist, or accountant etc after our chat. We could have continued, but it was really late and I had to go. So tired...
Love versus reality, which one holds stronger?
