Firstly, on the way to school, Mounts Bay Road was completely jammed. I was wondering why, until my bus got closer towards the freeway roundabout. What I saw was pretty shocking. A lamp post, the metal type mind you, had collapsed and hit onto a car. To make matters worse, the 2 cars behind the first couldn't stop in time and hit the first car. I think the driver was seriously injured and was sent to hospital. What are the chances of getting hit by a lamp post man??? Poor driver. I hope he/she is ok.
Second thing, that made me really really pissed off. Just thinking about it makes my blood boil. I was studying in the cafe with Joel (UWA), Xiao Hui and some other friends. As there were 6 of us, we joined 3 tables together. I went to buy some coffee and food for everyone, but when I came back, I saw that my table had been shifted away and my notes and bag were placed on another table.
Then I saw that a middle-aged angmoh guy was sitting at my table a little distance away. Joel told me that the guy just took my notes, put it elsewhere and shifted the table away. I was damn pissed and asked that guy why he touched my stuff and took the table away. He said that the cafe was for eating and not studying. I pointed out 4 things.
1. We were paying customers, and had just bought food and drinks.
2. There were plenty other tables around.
3. There were plenty other students studying around who didn't even buy a drink.
4. You have a freakin' problem?
He then said that he is the Health and Safety officer of the school, and that the way we join the tables together was a safety hazard. I told him that if he had asked me properly, I might have complied with his request. Then I just told him outright that he is very rude, especially in touching my stuff without permission. I told him to leave his name behind, as I will lodge a complaint with the Guild. He then said that he will complain me for breaching safety regulations as well. I just told him that I don't care, just go ahead, but leave his name behind, because I am definitely reporting him. He then gave his name as Haden.
I ran a search on him, and found that there was no listing on the school website under his name. I then checked the safety department, and found no one with his name. I confronted him again and asked him for his staff card. He said he didn't have one. The asshole was plainly lying earlier then. I told him that the Health and Safety officer was not him, but a Jeff Davies. He said that Jeff Davies was the person he reports to. I told him that the website lists the whole safety department, and his name is not on it. In the end, he couldn't even tell me where the safety department offices were.
Ancient Chinese got saying, "Steal things to eat, must remember to wipe mouth..."
What an idiot. I sent an email to the Safety and Security Departments, informing them that there was somone in the cafe impersonating a Health and Safety officer, and was touching student's belongings without permission. I quote myself in the email,
"In light of the recent thefts in school, I find this to be a serious concern, as it is possible that a thief is masquerading as persons of key positions in the university."
I hope the security gets him. If not, after Wednesday, his ass is mine! Bloody asshole! Make all of us no mood to study for the day. May the fleas of a thousand camels infest his ass, and may his arms grow too short to scratch it. Pui! Threatened me and said that you want to complain me? Sorry, I was born with big guts, and don't respond well to threats. I will get your ass, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but maybe tomorrow.
After studying, I met up with Danny for dinner. We had very nice food at Yip Kee Noodlehouse at Guildford. Food there was pretty good. The sizzling toufu with chicken mince and salted fish was excellent, their Yip Kee Special Noodle was pretty awesome, but their Yong Tau Foo laksa was a bit lacking. You had to add lots of sambal chilli to make it decent. But service there was good too!
Last dramatic event for the day. Danny drove me home, and it started raining on the way. As he turned into the road outside my house, I asked him if the car just skidded a bit. He said no, but suddenly swerved and made the car go into a spin, before saying, "Now that's a skid!" Oei.... Next time want to do stunt give a bit of advance warning leh... My lifespan will cut short if always kenna scared like that know...
