Need to backdate quite a bit here, but here's the post for Thursday =)

Got an invitation to attend the Queen of Queens competition organised by Seventeen Magazine, which was held at MOS. I haven't got a chance to go to MOS so far, as the queues were always so darn long when I was in Singapore last year. I remember going there once with Leen, and we just took a look at the queue and headed to Zouk instead. No longer interested in clubbing much, but I just wanted to check out the place, so I headed down there to have a look.

The place is indeed not too bad, but I only stayed for around half an hour before going out to grab a bite. The place was just too crowded, as invited guests were not separated from the party-goers, and there was no area set aside for guests. Headed back around 10pm plus, and knocked off a few drinks, before taking my leave and heading down to St James Power Station. Didn't take much pics here, so I am not posting any. Don't worry, there are plenty more at the next stop.

Took a cab down to Dragonfly club at St James Power Station (opp Vivocity). It was Eddie's birthday! Happy birthday dude!!! The place is really for an older crowd. Much older. It'll probably "take another 10 years before the girls here look hot to us", in the words of Bin, whom I met for coffee earlier today, and used words like "horrible", and "disappointing" to describe the place.

The place was indeed as foretold, old crowd, Cantopop, "getai" like performances, but it was great! Despite the rude bouncers and frosty front desk service, we all had great fun! I guess it was our own party atmosphere and people. I wouldn't really recommend the place to anyone else, unless you are a Cantopop fan, but it was really a great night out. Plenty of drinks and games, even watching Leen play "five-ten" against Eddie was just plain hilarious. Here are the pics, and as you can observe from my darker shade of red, I was well on the way to getting drunk. But at least I didn't puke, or hiccup embarassingly on the ride home. =P

Oh, and thanks a lot to Kat's boyfriend Zhong Long for sending me and Leen back home after. It must have been a torture to send 2 drunks home, especially when they stay on the other end of the island. Thank you, thank you very much!

(yep, we were all a little tipsy here)

Haven't had so much fun for a long, long time. Left my cares behind for those moments, and abandoned the unwanted thoughts.
