Saturday:

Actually I can't really remember what I did on Saturday, except that work started in the evening. Did my Santa gig at a shopping mall, before rushing down to Costa Del Sol Condominium for my next gig. Tired tired... There were a couple of nasty Japanese kids at the condo, but thank God the emcee managed to get them in line.

Drove down to Chomp Chomp to have supper with Gina, Tommie, Huiyu, Jingyi, Zhi Xiang and Joel. We had oodles of stuff. But the nicest were the fried carrot cake from Stall 24 and the Hokkien mee from another one of the stalls. Yummy!

Went to meet Mel up after that for a short talk, and also to send him to collect payment from one of the events company. We looked like we were conducting some shady deal, as we parked our cars in some car park, got out, and the boss passed Mel an envelope. Additionally, the boss was this middle-aged, plump guy with shoulder length hair. Kinda looks like the Mafia.
Sunday:

Church in the morning, but before that I met up with Gabriel, Joel, Gina, Jasper, Daryl, Zhi Xiang, and others (I lazy liao) for breakfast at Kou Fu. Service was ok, but many people came up when they saw I was back. It gets tiring after a while, but I still appreciate their kind intentions. There was this short "tekkan" session we had for Joshua after service in the clubhouse as well, as the poor dude is about to sacrifice 2 years of his life for the nation. He had to put on an army uniform and do some funny stuff.

The uniform was a good fit

Someone call MINDEF, 2LT Gabriel Zhou was one of the people involved

After church, I had lunch with Gab, Ching, Joel, Melissa, Huimin, and Gina. Happened to run into Gab's parents there and they gave us a treat by settling the bill for us. So nice... Thanks Uncle and Auntie!

Went to look for Raine at the Paragon after that, and finally got to see the beautiful creations by her, her sis and her mum. The pottery they made were really good! Guess the women in her family are all very talented. Caught up a bit with her, before leaving for my work at Harbourfront.

Monday - Wed:

I can't really remember the sequence of events, so here are some mashed up bits and pieces of the past 3 days.

Went down to Bugis to have a look for my watch at Citychain, before going to meet Leen and her mum for a bit of shopping. They were shopping for shoes and bags. That's when I found out that a guy's opinion does not really matter. (Auntie's joke at me) Yes, Leen, I'm still sore about it. You better soothe my ruffled feathers ok, or next time you can go shopping alone. =P

Kat came to meet us after a while, and we went down to Quality Hotel at Balestier for the porridge buffet. Got Auntie to join us, as we all haven't had dinner yet. But Auntie was hungry, so we went to buy some Takopachi to eat at Bugis first. Auntie's first try, and her fave ones were the same as mine, bacon and cheese!

Leen, and her mum, whom she got the beauty genes from

Dinah, Kat and Dinah's cousin Yiwei

Eddie, who refused to take a picture with me

The background here shows a kid, who was fooling around with the cutlery on the table. Eddie kept making sounds of "Eh... Eh..." to scare the kid, who didn't seem to be very afraid. But the scene was really hilarious.

Tuesday:

Went to Orchard in the afternoon for some window-shopping, and run some errands. Had a long time of doing nothing, so I went down to Paragon to look for Raine again. Anyway, here's the pictures of cutie Raine blowing her bubble gum. In the second picture, the words "No" from the signboard in the background is exactly in her gum, which makes it look kinda like a speech bubble. Kinda funny.

Met up with Andy and Siew Kuan, together with Joel and we went to have Indonesian food at The Rice Table in Cuppage Terrace. I actually referred to it as Sparrow once. Guess the effects of Perth have not completely worn themselves out. Anyway, Joel and I had this bet about a word that Andy will use first. I chose the word "brother" while he chose "Wah". Later on, despite several attempts to "force" the word on Andy, I kept getting foiled, while Joel just laughed uncontrollably. A couple of example scenarios:

Scenario 1:

Ian: Andy, we are all ______ and _______ in Christ, right? (prompting him to fill in the blanks, which is brothers and sisters)

Andy: Yup!

Scenario 2:

Ian: I treat you like an elder brother man, and I hope you treat me like one too.

Andy: Of course I treat you like a ...

At this point, we were at a zebra crossing, and some punk-ass Singaporean driver was trying to cut his way through, honking and interrupting Andy. Chaiser.

Anyway, we had a good dinner, and great fun catching up. Andy gave me lots of advice on my further studies. But the highlight was all the "jokes" I made about Andy, and his reactions to them. You just gotta see him and his wife. And I think Siew Kuan is a really nice woman. Andy is really a very blessed man to have a wife like her. Wish them both happiness forever!

Siew Kuan and Andy

Went to meet Dinah, before going down to Millenia Walk to pick Eddie up. Dinah was hungry, so we went to Carl's Jr at Marina Square for them to have dinner first. The portions look really big, but at that price, I would expect so. Looks really good though.

After that, we went to Paulaner, to have some drinks. The dark brew there is really good. This is a picture of their 1 litre mug. Good... Even Mel, who normally doesn't drink beer had some.

After a while, Kat, Leen, Yiwei and Leen's cousin Serena came to join us. Serena looks a lot like the Mediacorp artiste Felicia Chin. Guess the cute, pretty look runs in Leen's family. Hmm... Somebody is gonna get so big-headed when she sees this.

Wednesday:

Woke up late after sleeping soundly from all the alcohol intake of yester-night. Had a mild headache, and wanted to abandon my plan of heading out today, but Leen messaged me on MSN and asked me to go meet her and her mum for shopping. I declined, but in the end had to go meet Mel as he is flying off to Dubai tonight, and wanted to meet up for coffee.

Went down to Tampines Mall first to meet Mel, and was browsing at Sports Connection when Leen called and asked where I was. It turned out that she was just next door at Courts, so I went to meet her first. As Auntie puts it, this is just fate yeah? Haha... After a bit of shopping, we sent Auntie to the taxi-stand and went to meet Mel for coffee. Went to a coffee-shop near Tampines Mall, as Yakun was too crowded. We got a parking ticket while there. Super bad luck... Sigh...

Leen went off to go for the ABC concert, which was featuring bands such as Mayday and other well-known artistes, while Mel and I chatted for a while more before going home. I went for the farewell gathering at the Maxwell Market for Zhi Xiang. Happened to see Dwi Jin there, who is back here for the first day from Perth. Think he was surprised to see me, and my greeting of "Hello, want to buy tissue?" Haha. Stunned right?

After dinner, we were supposed to go to Tea Chapter, but in the end we just disbanded after dinner at Maxwell Market. Damn... I should have gone for the concert with Leen. But oh well... Zhixiang is important too. Haha...

Went to Swenson's at Crown Hotel after that with Joel, Matthew, Suzanne and Huiqian, who came down to join us after I called her. First time catching up since she came back to Perth.

Suzanne, Matthew and Ian

I'm all tired out, and I've got a long day tomorrow, so I'm stopping my post here. Zzz...
