Had a surprise chalet for my best friend, Mel, at Changi. Food was extremely good, and the company was few but cosy. Firstly, we prepared the place for his arrival, as well as rushing through the last minute signing of the card that Leen made with some help from me. (really very little, I failed Art & Craft)
We decided that since Mel is coming through the front door, 4 of us shall play mahjong, while the rest retreat to the kitchen to prepare the cake. I suggested that the rest go upstairs, since Mel is known for being unpredictable and might decide to come in from the back door instead, but was voted down. In the end, as Dinah was preparing the cake in the kitchen, Mel scared her by tapping on the kitchen window and asking her what she was doing.
Foiled surprise aside, it was still fun! Hope that Mel and Dinah are both delighted with their cards. (Dinah's birthday was a few days ago, but we completed the cards together)
