Time, it's always time, on my mind.
Time goes pretty fast, when you do not notice. While you focus on some things, especially boring stuff, it seems that times goes so slowly you wish you could get it up and running. The next moment, when you stop to take stock, you realise that so much has happened.
It seems as if our world is one where everything goes fast nowadays. We have fast food, entertainment in a click, globalisation connecting the world, and umpteen other things, that makes the world so compact, and everything seems so fast-paced. Unfortunately, so is the attrition rate of friends. They come into your life, and they seem to leave just as fast. It's all right, there's Friendster and Facebook to make new friends on. Right.
Globalisation seems to have left us no longer caring for our neighbours. The ease at which contact could be made via email or telephone, as compared to the snail mail of yesteryears have led less connections to be made, especially with the ones close to us. Fast food is neither fast nor really food.
Progress? Or retardation?
