Waking up with a start,
in the midst of winter's heart
Living each day step by step,
Wearing smiles with secrets kept
Wondering if this is all she can take

Behind a smile she hides her burdens,
While weeping in the secret garden
Running hard into a busy life,
Just so there is no time to cry
Hoping that one day all will change

Courage is the heart of love,
