Woke up feeling pretty much the same, refreshed even, for I had a very early night. Little did I know that this day will be a pretty bad day filled with catastrophic events. There are 4, and I shall go on to describe them in detail and in chronological order.
1) On my way to school, we heard over the radio that there was a very bad jam on Kwinana Freeway a.k.a the expressway we need to take to work. A few minutes later, it was announced that there was a crisis on the freeway and as such, it was to be closed down. The crisis was in effect, a real life crisis and all in all, rather dramatic. What happened was that the police were chasing after a stolen car on the freeway at a speed of 140 km/h. There were 4 aboard the stolen car and when they realised that they were not going to shake off the police that easily, they decided to take a chance. They switched over to the other side of the road, against the traffic flow. Bad mistake. The 4 imbeciles on board crashed into a taxi on the opposite side and burst into flames immediately. 2 of them were taken into custody immediately by the police, 1 escaped (how he managed to do that I have no idea), and 1 other didn't manage to get out of the stolen car and was incinerated to death. The taxi driver and his 2 passengers who were on board at the time were injured and taken to hospital and it was learned later that they were in a serious but stable condition. So the freeway got closed and we were diverted to another road and I wound up half an hour late. Great start to a day, especially when I had counted on being there early.
2) I wanted to be there early because I was to meet up with a friend. And I wanted to meet up with my friend because today is enrolment day, and so I would have to choose my majors and electives and units. And since I had spent the better part of the night considering and deliberating to no avail, I had wanted to discuss that with him. Since I was late, and enrolment had started, my friend told me that he would go queue up first. And because he didn't have a phone, I couldn't contact him later on and so I was quite stressed out with all the decision making again.
3) My lunch fell out of the lunchbox because the lid was spoilt. Period.
4) I needed to get my health insurance paperwork done up. What I didn't know was that they needed a copy of my student visa, but mine was actually an electronic visa. I was actually not required to print out a copy since it's electronic and can be verified by scanning my passport. However I had taken the precaution of printing out a copy just to be sure. For some reason my father decided that it was not neccessary and removed it and left it in Singapore without telling me. So I ended up without a visa and without my health cover card. I was rushing all over the shop for ways to get my hands on it but finally exhausted all my alternatives without a visa to show for it.
Yes and that's my bad day. The second part wasn't so bad. After school, I went home and decided to go jogging. I jogged around the neighbourhood and when I reached home, I spotted a neighbour playing basketball outside her house on a driveway hoop. I approached her and asked her if I can join in and soon I was shooting baskets with her. Made a new friend today.
Went home, showered and saw that Leen was on the net finally after the last time I saw her. Chatted with her for a while before my sis told me it was time to go. We went to Bunnings to return the manual lawn mower as we felt that it wouldn't last very long. And yes, in aussie you can return goods if you haven't purchased them for very long. After that we went to Fremantle and had dinner at this place called... Damn... Suddenly have mind-block and cannot recall the name... Haha. Ok anyway the food was quite good and we also ordered their signature fish and chips dish. It wasn't too bad but not fantastic either. I think Blooie's food is much nicer though. The servings are humongous, however, and I think 2 people will have no trouble being satisfied by it. One thing though, we ran into Xin Ai and Xin Mei at that place (probably only the very senior YMers will know them). They happened to be in Perth for holiday and we happened to be at the same place as it is a favourite tourist haunt. Coincidence huh? Said our hellos and as we were leavin we said our goodbyes.
Went outside the place I think it is called Ciscerello's now, and went for a short walk. We passed by the restaurant again and as we walked by their table, which was situated by the windows, my father joked that perhaps we should knock on the glass and make a few comments. Examples are given below.
Why never order the lobster ah?
Wah order so much ah!!!!

Hello!!! (Jump up and down looking excited)
Yes my father is a lamer as well.
That's it for today. Good night friends.
