The day is here. Besides being the day that I'm arriving in Aussieland, it was also my dad's birthday. But more about that later.
The day started rather early with many people calling me up to wish me farewell. Since I was still in a half-concious state, having decided to sleep in late, I cannot remember who they were, except for a couple of them.
Melvin came over my house at around 12 plus to help around, or rather, bum around till the magic hour came. We then proceeded to load the stuff into the MaxiCab that Melvin had chartered and into Wayne's car. I then set off for the airport while Melvin followed my parents. This being the very same day that Wayne passed his driving, I was naturally quite apprehensive but managed not to pass out and got to the airport safely. By the way, congrats, my favourite(only) God-brother.
Met up with everyone who came to send me off, and at the end of it all, I was missing them all already. Oh well, 4 months should pass pretty quickly=) Checked in at 4.30pm and waited for the take-off at 5.40pm, which didn't come to pass. Instead, the flight was delayed and managed to take off only at 6.30, leading to our arrival at Perth International Airport only at 11.20pm, and hence here I am, at almost 2am, typing away at the computer after a quick shower and a first phase of unpacking. Had a fabulous slice of my dad's birthday cake just now which my sis bought for him. It was truly the best cake I've ever eaten. But now I gotta go sleep before I collapse on the kitchen floor. Cheerio mate.
