Woke up at around 10, had a little breakfast, then on to conquer the world. Headed to a mall near us for some admin stuff such as applying for a mobile phone line and a bank account. I am now a proud customer of Bank West, but the mobile phone has to wait till tomorrow. Oh by the way, Australia has quite amazed me so far, with many wonders.
1. Burger King is known as Hungry Jack's here.
2. There is not a Bangla construction worker in sight. The construction workers are all ang mohs.
3. Cars here mostly do not have a centralised locking system, so you have to lock them one by one.
4. My sister can cook quite well.
More miracles as I discover them in the following days.
Went supermarket shopping for food and lunch, then went home around 1pm to prepare lunch. Had a very satisfying meal on the back porch and concluded that Australia is full of flies in the summer. The buggers are the size of rhino beetles here!!!! (ok lar maybe not so big but still..) Had a fun time afterwards swatting flies with a fly swatter. They're much easy to get here, perhaps because of the size. After lunch, me, dad and sis set to work doing some gardening, it was hard work but it was fun too. I can foresee myself losing weight if I do this everyday, haha. The pace of life here is really slower and you can just feel yourself relaxing. Ah...
