V-day!!! Also known as the eve of D-day (Departure Day).
Had a really nice treat from Huimin and Cindy at Billy Bomber's, and also received a very nice bear from them. It has my name on it!!!! Love it to bits. Sigh... You, my dear friends and loved ones are really making leaving more and more difficult. But 2 years will be over soon. Anyway I think the waitress was shocked to see that I had 5 girls with me for lunch on Valentine's (namely my pretty sis Ching, Mel with her spiffy new hairdo, Cindy whom I've not seen in ages and growing prettier by the day, Huimin who has been real sweet, Huiyu with her very clever "Worth Waiting For" band, not including Shy who came later but is not loved any lesser). 4 main courses between us was really over the top and I got to have the Cookies & Cream shake that I so absolutely adore. Plus the company is excellent. :o)
Had to go back to pack the flower orders that I received, it is V-day after all. Met Leen at Burger King, looking beautiful in her nice dress, impeccably made up and not a hair out of place as usual, and went to the shop to pack the flowers. that's where I discovered that she had a talent for wrapping the flowers! She made them look so much more beautiful!!! Beauty begets beauty, perhaps =) Finished up the flowers and then proceeded to go out for the day, not before being made fun of by Dinah's mum with her rather caustic but witty and funny remarks, and somehow I can sense her care and concern for me underlying her comments.
Went to drop the shop key at Eddie's, before going to look for some bites with Leen who's feeling peckish. Wound up at Mac's where we got a drink before heading to Shaw Towers for a movie. Seoul Raiders is funny and full of action but it still can't touch Tokyo Raiders with a yardstick though. Even then, it was very watchable and I rather enjoyed the movie, or perhaps the company made the movie good despite its flaws. Headed back to Tampines in a cab as Leen had to go to her grandma's for dinner. Too bad we didn't get to go out for the night but still the afternoon was a very enjoyable one, and I hope she liked the present that I got for her too. The cab ride was a hair-raising experience though, I hope I'll never go through that again; if ever I felt close to death it was in that cab. Reached home in record time but almost out of my skin, where Leen waited in the cab while I went upstairs to get her gift for her as I hadn't anticipated us meeting in the afternoon and that was the end of a lovely afternoon. Sigh, I'll miss her so much but at least I'll get some comfort, like we said in the cab, knowing that the stars, or the moon (if the stars are not out) that we see at night are the same. Argh, leaving is getting hard again.
Had dinner by myself at the coffeeshop opposite my house, and met up with Wayne. Made him go home early in preparation for his driving test tomorrow and did some reading while waiting for Edwin and Dawn and Joel to arrive. Edwin reached first and while waiting for Dawn and Joel I saw Melvin, Dinah & Eddie stop by for dinner at my coffeeshop. Remarkable coincidence eh. Said hello and went back to my table where converation resumed with Edwin, followed by Dawn and Joel's arrival later on before ending our coffeeshop farewell at around 12. Home and slumberland awaits, feeling bushed.
I just realised that I'm very long winded but the past 2 days' events are so clearly etched into my mind that I just can't resist recording them down. It will get precise later on I promise. And now it's time to hit the pillow with my head as I prepare for my meeting with Z monster. Cheerio.
