Picked Danny up in the morning and headed for the airport to send his parents off, they were here for a short visit and now they're finally leaving. Danny teared as they left, I guess everyone is always sad at the departure of those most close to our hearts. One of the rare times I've seen tears in that chap's eyes and I certainly hope it'll be the last, for he sure looks ugly when he cries (I hope you're reading this buddy). Nah, I just don't like to see my friends sad. Shortly after, Danny realised that he had left his keys with his dad. After a moment of anticipation, he managed to call his dad and arranged for his dad to pass him the keys back at the departure gate.
Sent Danny back home to collect his barang barang, as he'll be coming in to bunk in for a couple of days. We headed for Spencer Village to have lunch at the asian food court, but I was closed. That place is always closed when I want to eat there. 3 times already and 3 times it was closed. In the end we wound up at KFc where we quickly learned that Singapore's KFC offers much higher quality of chicken then here. Headed home after that for a bout of intensive studying, though I'm still trying to make some sense out of all the gibberish there.
Danny went for a nap, and I was tempted to take one as well, but I knew I would have little time for studying later as I don't like to study at night here. Studied for a little while more, and then prepared to go for my daily jog. Tried to drag Dan up, but that guy was sleeping like a pig.
Today I increased my jogging distance again, now my route makes up 4.5 km. Quite an improvement, I'd say. Felt good and pleased with myself for the improvement. Headed home after that for my warm down before hitting the books again for a short while and then set about to preparing dinner, assisted by Danny who by this time is awake and becoming chirpy again.
Made a pretty good dish of spaghetti between us, with some soup as a side. Went back to a bit of studying again after that, before making a call to my mum. Made a short call to Eileen after that, and talked for barely 5 minutes.
Sigh...
