This article argues that prostitution is not wrong. What do you think?
*Update*
I disagree.
1) Her children have a better lifestyle.
Irregardless of the fact that her children will be better off in terms of living standards, is the fact that the additional luxuries are funded through this means? I'd rather live without better stuff than to have it bought through such a means. The fact that the woman had a full-time office job previously makes this worse, as it probably means they were nowhere near the lower end of the income scale. Even if they were, Australia has generous welfare benefits, and even working in Macdonalds, etc can provide you with a decent income. (at around $17 per hour for a 18 year old, you can make around $3000 per month with 2 off days per week)
2) She enjoys sex a lot.
It's immoral. I believe in monogamy, and loyalty to one partner.
3) Safe sex is provided.
No form of protection is 100% safe. Would her children be better off if she contracts an STD?
4) Her customers are not perverts, or sadists, or deviants. Conversely, they are highly educated (doctors, lawyers, etc)
Higher education does not preclude them from being perfect, or being more moral in any aspect. Lust affects people of all social or education classes.
I do not condemn her, but neither do I feel her arguments lend any weight or credence to her chosen profession.
